Behold, the very first cover for Escape From Jesus Island!
Which leads us to the big news that’s been brewing behind the scenes. I am super psyched to announce that the premiere issue of Escape From Jesus Island will be released this Christmas as part of the Phantom Variant program!
We’ll be kicking off our comic book with a 30-day exclusive run at Phantom Retailers worldwide. The Phantom Variant version of Episode 1 will have different front and back covers, and will be the only place you can get EFJI with the kickass cover art seen above.
At the end of our 30-day exclusive period, we’ll launch our Issue 1 with a different cover and then we’re off and running as a monthly series.
The Phantom Variant series includes Deadpool, Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America, Fantastic Four and soon Escape From Jesus Island. This is obviously a big pile of win for an independent comic like ours and we are a whole lot of excited about this opportunity.
So what does this mean for Kickstarter supporters? Not a thing. We have a Kickstarter exemption worked into the deal, so this won’t delay the Christmas delivery of your first issue.
